In 1993, Mike Carroll and Rick Howard thought they might have a better formula for a skateboard company — one that made products the team would be proud of and kept an atmosphere that was supportive and motivating. While it was a risk, they felt like they owed it to skateboarding and skateboarders to take that risk. In 1999, facing a similar situation in respect to footwear, Mike and Rick introduced Lakai Limited Footwear with the same dedication and pride they have always invested into their skateboarding and the Girl/Chocolate brands. Simply stated, they are “The Shoes We Skate”.
Moved to California to work and ride for EPPIC Skateboards. Started SMALL ROOM Skateboards and tried turning pro.
Instead in 1992 i ended up innovating the Short´s bolts.
Others have tried to copy our bolt design but still it´s considered the best hardware you can ride. Today we do all kind of cool stuff, such as decks & wheels and much more.
Back in 1995 a couple of skateboard shop owners and a pro skater named Tim Gavin had a vision to create a footwear brand designed specifically for skateboarding. DVS, as they originally named it, has today become a globally recognized force in the footwear market, yet the founding partners haven’t wavered from the mantra the brand was built on – to create quality footwear products made for skaters by skaters. While it now caters to the breadth of the boardsports world, DVS remains focused and committed to sponsoring the best skateboarders, supporting the best skateboard events, and backing the best skateboard retail stores in the world. DVS – In the Skateboard Tradition.
Dogtown, as a concept, has existed since the early 1970’s. It was the birthplace of progressive skateboarding, Santa Monica/Venice, California. In the celebrated documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys, Santa Monica/Venice was a forgotten slum by the sea. Out of the wreckage of Abbot Kinney’s dream town gone bad, roamed young surfers searching for outlets after the surf got blown out. They found it through an aggressive approach to skateboarding never seen before. Jim Muir, the founder of Dogtown Skateboards, was one of these kids. For 38 years Dogtown Skateboards has been synonymous with hardcore skateboarding.

Every time you take a step or land from a jump, impact energy shoots into your body. Small repetitive amounts accumulate and lead to soreness while large amounts cause injury such as internal bleeding /bruising. The result is a sore body that takes longer to heal and cannot perform at optimal levels.
For decades, insole companies have not been able to address this issue. They have simply marketed their products with the word “cushioning” however there is a huge difference between cushioning and energy absorption.
The most premium of insoles may feel very cushioning however when put to the test it is easily shown that the energy of impact still passes through, thus accomplishing nothing more than comfort and not truly aiding the athlete.
FOOTPRINT INSOLE TECHNOLOGY insoles contain a nano technology which reacts to impact energy by transferring it into a different state ( heat) before it can reach the body. The heat is no hotter than body temperature so you feel nothing.
FOOTPRINT INSOLE TECHNOLOGY insoles have literally revolutionized sports insoles for all athletes.

THE STORY OF THREE FRIENDS
Black Eye was founded by three friends who shared a passion for board sports and photography. Skateboard photographer Arto Ekman and professional snowboarders Fredu Sirviö and Eero Ettala wanted to make filming and photography with smartphones easier for everyone.
Filming with different cameras, uploading the footage on the laptop, editing it and sharing it to the social medias was difficult and took too much time. We wanted to provide a better solution to make the process easier.
The answer to the revolution was laying in our pockets.
Smartphone cameras were developing to a point where they could compete with traditional cameras. The first Black Eye lens “The Original” was introduced in 2013. Since then our goal has been to develop best smartphone accessories in the market for everyone. Simple, best quality, universal, achievable and for everyone. Welcome to the world of Black Eye.
THE STORY OF THREE FRIENDS
Sunset Skateboard Company located in Costa Mesa, California was founded by long-time friends and California natives Jeremy Fissell & Scott Winn. Jeremy and Scott met while attending college in San Luis Obispo, CA in the early 90’s and quickly discovered they shared a mutual love for all things skateboarding. Having both grown up in the late 70’s and early 80’s – Jeremy in Northern California and Scott in Southern California as a long time Sunset Beach lifeguard – the guys would often reminisce about their days spent bombing the streets on their old school boards, boom boxes in hand.
A lot of time has passed since then, but the guys’ love for skateboarding has never waned. Jeremy and Scott reunited when Scott remembered how much fun they had “that one time in college” when Jeremy built a clear, plastic skateboard deck using some polycarbonate material. While Jeremy has spent the last 20 years as a successful entrepreneur & product designer, Scott has worked as a professional in the sales world. They made a commitment to combine their experience, love of the California lifestyle and passion for skateboarding and launched Sunset Skateboards with the Original Flare LED Wheels – a cornerstone of the endeavor.
